Cafes in Tagbilaran – Bohol

My go-to Cafes in Tagbilaran

Since I’m working from home, the most convenient way for me to meet my friends or want to have a change of workplace scenery is through cafes.

I’m sharing my go-to cafes in Tagbilaran and giving awards to each of them!

First, I’ll share my top three favorite places that I’ve been going to for years.

Becca x Bistro Cafe

โญ Best View Award

A cafe by the coast (Tagbilaran Straight) that has a great view of the sunset. I love going there in the afternoon when it’s not too hot since the place is open air setting.

The cafe is also spacious and perfect for small groups of friends to hang out. They have workspaces, although I don’t usually get decent wifi when I try to work there.

Personal favorites: Chorizo Hubad, Dirty Burger

Tamper Coffee & Brunch

โญ Most Cozy Award

I think it’s the perfect place for quick meet-ups with friends because it’s easily accessible, especially for people who usually commute (like me).

I love working here while meeting friends because their wifi is fast, have outlets, and air-conditioned. I love the fact that adjacent to their cafe is their other restaurant Just Sizzling where you can order too. So it provides a variety of options.

Personal favorites: Chicken and Waffles, Iced Americano

Chido Cafe

โญ Best Food Choices

The view from Chido Cafe is great too! But it’s their menu that I like the most. They offer a variety of Mexican-inspired food which is different from typical cafes in Bohol. I love how their menu has vegetarian and vegan options.

I love the interior and the fact that they display quality locally made products and artworks in their cafe.

Personal favorites: Hot choco with Baileys & Saigon

New Cafes

There have been many cafes that opened. Here are some of the places that are low-key but I love visiting:

Kafehan

โญ Most Homey

The cafe is right in front of the owner’s ancestral home. I love how the setup is different from typical cafes in Bohol. I love how their drinks emphasize the local flavors by using local chocolate drink tablea and locally sourced coffee beans.

They have board and card games, etc., available for free use. They also host fun weekly night events with different themes such as R&B nights, full moon watching, etc.

Personal Favorites: Kape Moreno (Local Iced Choco), Rice Bowls

Yokoy’s Cafe

โญ Best Coffee Variety

As someone who enjoys their coffee black, I really appreciate the wide range of coffee bean options they offer, which is still rare for coffee shops in Bohol. You can tell that they are coffee experts.

The cafรฉ is pretty small, but good enough for meetups and enjoying a good cup of coffee with a friend or for a solo coffee run.

I don’t have any personal favorites yet since I haven’t tasted a lot from their menu, but I tried one of their specialty coffees and really liked it.
