This is my go-to vegan restaurant/ cafe in Bohol.

I am not vegan but I love eating vegetables and try to have a well-balanced meal. Which is admittedly hard in Bohol – a very meat-centered culture.

Even in restaurants, it’s hard to find a good plant-based food. So I really appreciate places that offer those.

One of my favorite places to go to satisfy that craving is Vegan Shack.

They have a variety of food to choose from. What I like most is that they are not only delicious, their ingredients are locally sourced and not processed like a lot of vegan alternatives.

They have vegan alternatives to a lot of Filipino dishes too which I appreciate because vegans can have a taste of our food culture.

They just added Lechon Kawali in their menu too, a classic Filipino food.

I think any Filipino who became vegan would love tasting these familiar flavors again. And vegan tourists can also have a taste of our culture without consuming meat which is in majority of Filipino foods.
