If you are looking for places to stay in Bohol, the highly recommended place, especially for first-timers, is Panglao.
It is where most tourists are, and you’ll get a lot of options for bars and restaurants if you are looking for nightlife action.
Specifically, the Alona Beach area where most of the establishments are within walking distance. There is also a range of budget-friendly to high-end resorts in the vicinity. Prices for bars and restaurants can vary from cheap to expensive as well.
One of the best places you can stay that I recommend in Alona, Panglao is Best Western Plus – The Ivywall Resort.

It’s beachfront, with a short walking distance to restaurants and bars
While it’s located in Alona Beach, you won’t feel the crowd since it’s on the quieter side of the beach.
And when you feel like going out to have fun, you can just walk along the beach or head from the entrance to the highway where restaurants and bars are also lined up.
The Rooms with Direct Pool Access
The view from the higher floors is great! But as a water baby, I kind of like the room that has direct access to the pool.

Isn’t this self-explanatory? Lol! It’s a good place to hang out with friends while swimming and pre-game drinking. Their bar also uses local ingredients to create some of their exotic drinks.

They have great food and drink choices which I was able to enjoy by the beach with a live band. We dined and wined then went out to get more drinks.
Some of the activities we did at the resort were gym workouts, billiards, massages, kayaking, and stand-up paddling.
Best Western Plus – The Ivywall Resort also has other amenities such as a playground for children, a rooftop deck called Teraza, meeting rooms, a business center, and outdoor areas for poolside dinners, team-building activities, wedding proposals, and weddings.
